Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
The short version One Page does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. Everything it does happens on your own computer. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party services. The extension makes no network requests at all.
What the extension handles
Page images
When you invoke One Page on a tab, it captures that tab's visible pixels repeatedly while scrolling, and joins them into a single image. The image is held in your browser's local storage only long enough to open it in the editor, and older captures are cleared automatically. It is never uploaded anywhere.
Page title and address
These are used to name the file you save and to label the editor window. They stay on your device and are not transmitted.
Your settings
Your preferences — output format, file name pattern, capture behaviour and editor defaults — are stored using Chrome's sync storage. This means Chrome may sync them across your own signed-in devices. That syncing is performed by Chrome itself, not by this extension, and the settings contain no page content.
Saved files
Files go wherever you tell Chrome to put them, normally your Downloads folder. Images copied with the Copy button go to your system clipboard. Both stay on your computer.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read pages you have not invoked it on. It requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any website.
- It does not track browsing history, keystrokes, form data, or credentials.
- It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- It contains no remote code. All code ships inside the extension package.
- It makes no network requests whatsoever.
Permissions and why each is needed
| Permission | Reason |
|---|---|
| activeTab | Reads the pixels of the one tab you invoke the extension on. Granted only by your click or keyboard shortcut. |
| scripting | Injects the script that measures the page and scrolls it section by section during a capture. |
| storage | Saves your settings. |
| downloads | Writes the finished image to your Downloads folder when you save it. |
| contextMenus | Adds the right-click menu on the extension's own toolbar icon. |
| clipboardWrite | Powers the Copy button in the editor. |
No host permissions are requested, which means the extension has no access to any site until the moment you invoke it there.
Data sharing and sale
No user data is sold or transferred to third parties. No user data is used for any purpose unrelated to taking and editing a screenshot. No user data is used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Children
One Page is a general-purpose utility and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
Any change will ship with a new version of the extension and be published at this address, with the date above updated.
